AIR COMPETITION 2009
HQ NCC (AIR) will be organizing the annual Air Competition on 4th September 2009. The heats will be carried out from 21 August 2009 onwards starting at 1400 hrs on each day. The top 4 teams from each heat in their respective categories will compete during the finals for the top 3 positions. The finals will be held on a Friday afternoon, 4 September 2009, 1400 hrs. The competition is open to all NCC (Air) cadets who are trained in Control-Line flying. (Max. of 2 teams per squadron for each category)
This year’s competition also aims to increase the awareness and proficiency of Remote-Control through the RC Simulator Competition.
COMPETITION SYSTEM
Categories:
1) *Part A Aircraft Design Competition (10 BUC Points)
2) *Part B, ½ A Electric C/L Rat Race Junior (20 BUC Points)
3) *Part C, ½ A Electric C/L Rat Race (40 BUC Points)
4) ^R/C Simulator Precision Landing & Precision Targeting
* Schools are to send min 1 team in these categories. Best Unit Competition Points allocation for the line control categories; 40% Attendance, 60% Performance (based on timings).
^ Bonus points will be given for participation in the RC Simulator Category
All participants will report for registration by 1400hrs at the Multi Purpose Hall for all heats and finals. Directional signs will be posted to lead them to the reporting point. Muslim cadets that attend Friday prayers must report by 1500hrs. The heats/finals are expected to end by approximately 1800hrs.
All participants must report in their No.4 uniform. They are to bring along a T-shirt, as they have to change into their half-uniform attire during the duration of the competition. Spectators are to be dressed in their No.3 Uniform.
Late-comers coming after 1415hrs (1500hrs for Muslim Cadets) without a valid excuse will not be allowed to register for the heats/finals.
All teams are to attend the finals on 4th September 2009 regardless of their position during the heats. All teams will be receiving participation certificates/medal at the end of the finals and refreshments have been arranged.
