NCC BEACH AND PARKS CLEANING 2009 EXERCISE

Cadets Involved: ALL PART A Senior Spec Involved: SSG Avion Lim 1. The NCC Island-wide Beach and Park Cleaning Day 2009 will be held on Monday, 02 November 2009 from 1500 hrs to 1700 hrs at 5 different locations simultaneously. The Guest-of-Honour for each location will be the District Commanders. 2. The 5 Districts will be cleaning their respective parks as part of the NCC Beach and Park Cleaning Day 2009. The locations assigned are: Bukit Batok Nature Park- West Sembawang Park- Central Upper Seletar Reservoir- Sea Punggol Park- Air East Coast Park - East 3. The teams will be led by the respective District Commanders and assisted by the District Training Officers and Specialists. 1000 cadets and NCC officers will be mobilised for the activity. 4. 250 Cadets from Part A will be drawn from school units in the respective Districts. Cadets from each school unit will be wearing their School T-shirt and School PT shorts and shoes. They will be accompanied by 1 teacher officer and 1 Senior Specialist (to ensure appropriate teacher-student ratio). 5. Units are required to report by 1430 hrs at the Form Up Point (FUP) where they will be issued a pair of plastic gloves, 1 trash bag (per pair) and one bottle of water. Cadets will be divided into groups and assigned an area to clean under the supervision of a teacher officer from their school units. 6. On completion of the activity all cadets will proceed to the FUP where there will be a photo taking session followed by the disposal of trash bags. 7. The sequence of the event will be as follows: 1430 to 1530 hrs - Reporting of cadets & Safety Briefing 1530 hrs - GOH to arrive 1535 hrs - Speech by GOH 1540 hrs - Commencement of Beach/Park Cleaning Activity 1640 hrs - Cadets return/photo taking 1700 hrs - End of Activity

RSAF ATTACHMENT TO SBAB - 09 November 2009 to 11 November 2009

Under the RSAF/NCC (Air) Affiliation Scheme, the NCC (Air) attachment to RSAF Programme is carried out annually in Sembawang Air Base for Part C Cadets. This year the programme is scheduled for Monday 09 November 2009 to Wednesday 11 November 2009 whereby about 120 NCC (Air) cadets/officers will be attached to Sembawang Air Base for 3 days. Chung Cheng High Yishun is required to send 7 cadets (must include all the 5 Senior Specialists) for this Sembawang Air Base Attachment. The students involved are: Khee Yi Wei 4B1 (OIC) Toh Wang Kiat 3E (2IC) Kelvin Ko 3G Avion Lim 3H Leon Lim 3C Zak Kwok 3A Julian Nonis 3A For the Express students, Mr Victor Tan has already informed your teachers to excuse you on these days. On the first day and second day, 09 and 10 Nov 2009, selected cadets will report to LTA (NCC) Gan Yee Seng (OIC) / LTA (NCC) Chan Li Ying Catherine / LTA (NCC) Ng Lip Siang Adrian on all 2½ days in No. 3 Uniform with head dress, by 0845 hours at Sembawang Air Base Guardroom. On 11 Nov 2009, last day of the attachment, all officers and cadets are to report to Chong Pang Camp Guard Room. The tentative itinerary for the event is as follow: 09 Nov 2009 0900 - 0945 hrs - Welcome and Refreshment 0945 - 1030 hrs - Base Brief and video by Asst S3 1030 - 1115 hrs - Video / Sharing 1115 - 1200 hrs - Lunch 1200 - 1600 hrs - CH47 Familiarisation Flight 10 Nov 2009 0900 - 1200 hrs - Brief on Structure and organisation of ALS/ Visit to various Mech Section of ALS 1200 - 1300 hrs - Lunch 1300 - 1600 hrs - Visit to HSC 11 Nov 2009 0900 - 0930 hrs - Video / Briefing @ CPC Auditorium 0930 - 1100 hrs - Viewing / Briefing of Static Displays 1130 hrs - End of Visit Lunch will be provided for at the SBAB Cookhouse for non-Muslims and packet rations will be brought to SBAB by the NCC (Air) Specialist for the Muslim cadets. These cadets would consume the ration in the canteen located above the cookhouse.

SHOOTING COMPETITION 2009

Based on the result of the Part B and C IMT results, the following cadets have been selected to represent CCHY NCC (AIR) for this year's NCC SHOOTING COMPETITION. IMT Shoot (Part B) 13 Nov 2009, 1300-1700 CPL GAINES GOH (Team IC) CPL YAP DUAN FENG CPL BRANDON CHAN CPL RICHARD CHUA 100m Live Shoot (Part C) 17 Nov 2009, 0800-1200 3SG LIM DE QUAN (Team IC) 3SG ALLOYSIUS LEE 3SG SATHIAPRAVIN 3SG CHAN GUO JING SHOOTING COMPETITION FINALS 18 NOV 2009 (only if we made it) All competitors are to be properly attired in No. 4 field dress. Firers improperly dressed will be disqualified. All competitors must report to Nee Soon Range, Statistics / Scores Centre by 0800 hrs. Briefing & Detailing will be conducted after the registration to cover the Competition rules & regulations as well as the Range Safety. Participants who are late by 30 minutes will not be allowed to take part in the Competition. The competition for Part B cadets will be held in NEE SOON IMT centre. The competition for Part C cadets and other participants will be held in NEE SOON 100m RANGE. All participants are required to bring their Student Pass/EZ Link Card for verification and in case of an emergency. All participants shall be subjected to the discipline and standing orders of Nee Soon Camp. Any participant who misbehaves shall be liable to be disqualified from the competition, including disciplinary actions. Ration will not be provided for competitors, except for officials who are assisting in the conduct of the range. All participants are to bring their own Earplugs, due to personal hygiene reason. Teacher officers must ensure that all participants have completed their technical handling test for 2009 before they go to the range. They are to bring along their technical handling score results when they attend the competition.
