The memorial is dedicated in memory to our civilians who lost their lives between February 1942 and February 1945 during the Japanese Occupation in Singapore. Annually, a memorial ceremony is held on 15 February. For 2009, NCC cadets are invited to witness the ceremony at War Memorial Park.
