PART D PASSING-OUT PARADE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO 15 APRIL 2011

All cadets are to note that the POP parade scheduled on 1 April has been postponed to 15 April in view of the following reasons:
1 April - Sports Heats is on so many TO and cadets will not be around.
5 April - CO will be away on course and Part B will be out away for Camp Steel
8 April - Sports Day so no school
12 April - Sec 2 will be having their mass oral exam; however training will be on for the Part A and C
Part D cadets however, will be allowed to step down from duty after today, 29 March and will only be required to attend the POP on 15 April. Please refer to the blog for more details later. Senior Specs will continue to serve in the unit until CCA stand down in late April but they are not required to report for trainings in NCC uniform if they so wish; proper school attire is still a must.
During the POP parade, CO will be giving the following awards:
1 x Best Cadet - Part A 2010
1 x Best Cadet - Part B 2010
2 x Outstanding Contribution Award (for Part Ds only)
2 Spec will also be promoted to the rank of SSG.
Attendance for the POP is compulsory for all.

NO TRAINING ON THE 1 APRIL AND 8 APRIL 2011

In view of the Sports Day Heats and Sports Days itself, there will be no training on these days.
However, there will be training on next Tuesday 05 April 2011.

NCC HAIR CHECK CLARIFICATION

Part Cs have recently made an announcement that all NCC cadets are required to maintain short neat hair cut, with sloped sides and back. CO NCC applauds this move and understands the rationale behind it however such a requirement is difficult to enforce. However, this requirement isn't outrageous as it is similar to our school rules, as spelt out in the student handbook. CO NCC urges all cadets to take the announcement in good stride and give your cooperation to the new seniors. Having a neat hair cut is a standard requirement for all NCC cadets as you are required to project the right image when you are in uniform.

PROPER HANDING OVER-TAKING OVER BY APPOINTMENT ICs

Part D ICs or appointment holders, please ensure that you do a proper and thorough handing over-taking over with your understudy by next Friday 1st April.. All senior specs are to ensure this change over is done.
