Program: Rehearsals are scheduled from 2 Dec, 0900hr to 3 Dec 08, 1500 hr. Ration: Snacks, lunch and dinner would be provided on both days. Reporting Time and Attire: All participants are to report to NCC Campus MPH on 2 and 3 Dec 08 at 0800 hr in the following attire: No.3 uniform with beret – All Air Supporting Contingents No.1 uniform with head dress & gloves – All Guard of Honor Contingents Drawing of no.1 uniforms: Drawing of no.1 uniforms by the Guard of Honor Contingent Cadets is scheduled on 24 & 25 Nov 08 from 0900hr to 1600 hr. SINGAPORE YOUTH FLYING CLUB AVIATORS’ PROGRAMME FOR NCC (AIR) CADETS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 3 DAYS

The Singapore Youth Flying Club will be extending their Aviators’ Programme to NCC Air Cadets. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the Singapore Youth Flying Club and the programmes they offer for cadets passionate about aviation. The course will enable the cadets to learn about the Piper Warrior aircraft through simulators and lectures and embark on a flight experiential programme on the aircraft. The primary objective of this programme is to extend an introduction to the Singapore Youth Flying Club and the opportunities it offers to the cadets as potential aviators in the future. Duration: 3 Day, non-residential Course from 0830 hours -1630 hours daily. Criteria: Secondary 3 or Secondary 4 Express Class students. Singapore Citizens Height requirements, minimum 1.61m to 1.90m Eye sight below 400 degrees each eye. Astigmatism below 100 degree in each eye. Not colour blind. Free from medical illness & medically fit. Time and Venue: Cadets will report in their No.3 uniform at the Singapore Youth Flying Club. They will be updated on their impending course nearing the commencement of the course in November 11 (3rd Course), November 18 (4th Course) and November 25 (5th Course). Meals: Cadets are to pay for their own meals (lunch and break) at SYFC. Cadets should take their breakfast prior to going to the Youth Flying Club. No dinner will be indented. (Important: Part C Cadets who are involved in the abovementioned activity can report at the SYFC after their Physics SPA if they are involved in it.)

ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SEMBAWANG AIR BASE ATTACHMENT 2008

Cadets Involved: SSG MARCUS HO WEI KEI 2SG HENG XUN ZHENG 2SG CORY TAM 3SG TAN JUN LIANG 3SG LAM YONG ZHI 3SG MUHAMMAD FAHMI 3SG TAN JUN HAO The Sembawang Air Base Attachment is a 2½ day non-residential programme organised yearly for the Part C cadets to enhance their military awareness and give them an insight into the day-to-day activities of our Air Force Personnel. This year, the attachment is held at Sembawang Air Base from Wednesday 12 November 2008 to Friday 14 November 2008. On the first day and second day, 12 and 13 Nov 2008, selected cadets will report to CPT (NCC) Desmond Tong (OIC) / LTA (NCC) Jeffrey Goh / LTA (NCC) Tan Chuan Jui in No. 3 Uniform with head gear, by 0845 hours and 0830 hours respectively at Sembawang Air Base Guard Room. Thay are to report to the POC, Ms Vashantha, Head Admin, Sembawang Air Base at the SBAB Guard Room. She can be contacted at tel. 63184507. On 14 Nov 2008, the last day of the attachment, all officers and cadets are to report to Chong Pang Camp Guard Room. ITINERARY The tentative itinerary for the event is as follows: 12 Nov 2008 0900 - 0945 hrs - Welcome and Refreshment 0945 - 1030 hrs - Base Brief and video by Asst S3 1030 - 1100 hrs - Video / Sharing 1100 - 1200 hrs - Lunch 1200 - 1600 hrs - CH47 Familiarisation Flight 13 Nov 2008 0900 - 1200 hrs - Briefing on Structure and organisation of ALS/ Visit to various Mech Section of ALS 1200 - 1300 hrs - Lunch 1300- 1600hrs - Visit to HSC 14 Nov 2008 0900 - 0930 hrs - Video / Briefing @ CPC Auditorium 0930 - 1045 hrs - Viewing / Briefing of Static Displays 1100 hrs - End of Visit LUNCH Lunch will be provided at the SBAB Cookhouse for non-Muslims and packet rations will be brought to SBAB by the NCC (Air) Specialist for the Muslim cadets. These cadets would consume the ration in the canteen located above the cookhouse.

SELECTION FOR CCA ORIENTATION DAY PDS PERFORMANCE

This selection test is planned as part of the preparation for next year's CCA Orientation Day. Selected cadets will be required to come back on selected days in December to practice for the PDS performance. NCC FITNESS PROGRAMME 2008

Cadets Involved: CPL QUEK DING XIANG; CPL NONIS JULIAN Senior NCC cadets are tasked to conduct fitness training in their School Units for their junior cadets. There is a need to bridge the information gap so that NCC cadets would be able to derive maximum benefits from the fitness training without any adverse effects. The NCC Fitness Programme will be a residential programme conducted by instructors from the SAF Army Fitness Centre and Trainers from NCC Training Cadre from 26 to 27 Nov 08 in NCC Campus, Amoy Quee Camp. The 2-day NCC Fitness Training Programme will provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to conduct fitness training lessons effectively, safely and with fun-element for a small-size class. Evaluation Component All participants must pass the Theory Test and able to perform satisfactorily in all the Fitness activities during the practical sessions. Method of Instruction There would be a combination of theory and practical lessons so that the participants would be able to experience the fitness training activities advocated in the programme. Reporting Attire, Date, Time and Venue All Participants are to report in No 4 Uniform on 26 Nov 08 at 0800 hrs to the NCC Campus Accommodation, Blk 246. The respective District Specialists are to record the attendance of their cadets and hand over the cadets to the Conducting Officer. Transportation Ferry Service will be provided for the participants as follows: a. 26 Nov 08 from 0700 hrs to 0800 hrs (Yio Chu Kang MRT station to NCC Campus) b. 27 Nov 08 from 1730 hrs to 1830 hrs (NCC Campus to Yio Chu Kang MRT station) Personal Conduct Participants are reminded to display an acceptable standard of conduct, bearing and discipline throughout the programme. They are expected to have a decent haircut. Accommodation Accommodation will be provided for all participants during the programme. Medical Issues Part B Cadets who are on prevailing medical conditions are strongly advised not to attend the programme. Camp Security Cameras, camera handphones or any image capturing devices are strictly prohibited in the Camp premises. Meals All Cadets are to consume their breakfast before coming for the programme. Thereafter all meals will be provided till end of the programme. Personal Kit List A list of personal items required for the programme is given in Annex C. Cadets are advised not to bring valuables to the camp. HQ NCC will not be responsible for any items lost during the camp. Command and Control All participants will come under the command and control of Commander East District who is responsible for the administration and supervision of the programme. The NCC Fitness Training Programme will provide Part B Cadets with the knowledge and confidence to conduct fitness training activities. Fitness training that is effective, safe and yet fun would help to develop a fitness culture amongst the cadets, so that they would continue to exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle. 4TH BASIC PDS COURSE

Cadets involved : CPL RYAN WOON, CPL KELVIN KO Date : 5th Nov to 7th Nov 2008 Venue: Hwa Chong Institution, Centre of Excellence for PDS. 1. Trainees are to report for the training by 0800 hrs at Hwa Chong Institution for the 3 days. Trainings are expected to end by 1600 hrs daily. 2. Trainees are to report in their Smart No. 4 camouflage uniform (without badges). 3. All male trainees are reminded to have a short and neat haircut, failing which they will not be permitted to join the course. 4. No off-days or time off would be granted during the course, unless on emergency and compassionate grounds. 5. This is a non-residential course. A room would be provided to safe keep your belongings during the course. Cadets are reminded to consume their breakfast before reporting for the course each day and lunch will be provided. 6. Cadets are to bring the following items when reporting for the course: a. Camouflage Uniform x 1 pair b. Jockey Cap c. Beret d. T-Shirt (School or NCC related) e. Writing Materials f. Student Pass (Identification) g. Medicine (Optional) 7. Cadets are reminded NOT to bring any valuables or expensive items during the course. NCC (AIR) AEROMODELLING INSTRUCTOR COURSE 27 – 29 November 2008

Cadets Involved: 2SG Lai Xing Lai, CPL Chan Guo Jing The 2nd Aeromodelling Instructor Course is a 3 day 2 Night residential course and will be held from 27th November 2008 to 29th November 2008. To further enhance the training of the cadets, they are to attend 3 Saturdays (8th, 15th & 22nd November 2008) of Pre-course training. This is to ensure that the cadets are fully equipped in their knowledge of aviation and aeromodelling so as to ensure a higher chance of graduating from the course. Each Air unit will be required to send 2 Part B/Part C Cadets. Time and Venue: Cadets will be required to attend 3 Saturdays of pre-course training, the dates are 8th, 15th and 22nd November 2008. They are to report to the Aeromodelling Centre in civilian attire. For the 3 days stay-in course, cadets will report in their No.3 uniform at 0800 hrs on the 27th of November 2008 at Amoy Quee Camp, HQ NCC, BLK 245. Attendance for all days are compulsory. No transport will be provided for this course. Trainees and Instructors will have to make their own way to HQ NCC on the first day of the course. Lunch is catered for all 3 days; Dinner for the 1st and 2nd day while Breakfast and Night snack is catered for the 2nd and 3rd day only.

The NCC Beach and Parks Cleaning Day 2008

1. The NCC Beach and Parks Cleaning Day 2008 will be held on Tuesday, 28 October 2008 from 1430 to 1700hrs. NCC Air District is tasked to clean Punggol Park. Mr Tan Teck Hock, Principal of Serangoon Junior College will be the Guest of Honour. 2. Cadets are to report at the park by 1430 hrs. Please be punctual as there will be a briefing at 1500hrs. The event is expected to end by 1700hrs. 3. The attire for the event is the Unit-T and school pants. Plastic gloves, trash bags and bottled water will be provided by NCC Air District. 4. As this is a beach cleaning project, cadets are encouraged not to carry bulky bags with them. It will be appropriate to wear waist pouches to keep their wallets and mobiles. This is also to prevent loss of personal items and bags as in the previous years. 5. As this is a Community Involvement Project, participating cadets will be able to clock CIP points.
