Camp Pinnacle 2007

Camp Pinnacle 2007

3rd - 7th December

Camp Pinnacle, a prestigious camp in NCC. It is indeed honoured to be selected to go for this camp. From what the Course Warrant say, we are attending this camp because we are the so called " Cream Of The Crop", also explaining why it is called Pinnacle. This camp is somehow meant to reward Part C cadets for their hardwork, but if you are going to this camp with the mentality of slacking, you have the wrong mindset and might as well pack up and go home. This camp has broaden our knowledge and it is an once in a lifetime experience.
The camp is at SISPEC, School of Infantry SPECialists and the facilities are great. It also has a great cookhouse to feed those hungry soldiers.

This camp brushes up our discipline as discipline is still required. It also brushes up our drills as we were required to march around the campus and perform drills. For your information, it has really been a while since we really did drills.

We had team building games at the Singapore Discovery Centre, followed by a bus tour around SAFTI MI. We also had a talk about SISPEC and a tour around it. To our dismay, the trip to Paya Lebar Airbase was a disappointing one as the C-130 joyride had been cancelled due to Cat 1 weather although some of us already had this joyride before. The fun was actually during our Camp Pinnacle Night, where the different platoons perform. People from International Cadet Exchange Program was there and they performed too. That was when everyone got "high". There were people from Brunei, India, United Kingdom, USA, Thailand and Australia. We visited the NDU and Changi Naval Base and we sat in the Naval speed boats at NDU. After the ride, we were soaked from top to bottom, but it was a very enjoyable experience. And this camp to us is fun, mostly because of the quick bond between us in our platoon.

Kilo 6 aka "Kelong Tigers" will be remembered.
With this, I sum up my post on Camp Pinnacle 2007.
