The NCC Beach and Parks Cleaning Day 2008

1. The NCC Beach and Parks Cleaning Day 2008 will be held on Tuesday, 28 October 2008 from 1430 to 1700hrs. NCC Air District is tasked to clean Punggol Park. Mr Tan Teck Hock, Principal of Serangoon Junior College will be the Guest of Honour. 2. Cadets are to report at the park by 1430 hrs. Please be punctual as there will be a briefing at 1500hrs. The event is expected to end by 1700hrs. 3. The attire for the event is the Unit-T and school pants. Plastic gloves, trash bags and bottled water will be provided by NCC Air District. 4. As this is a beach cleaning project, cadets are encouraged not to carry bulky bags with them. It will be appropriate to wear waist pouches to keep their wallets and mobiles. This is also to prevent loss of personal items and bags as in the previous years. 5. As this is a Community Involvement Project, participating cadets will be able to clock CIP points.

CHALLENGE QUEST 2008

HQ NCC will be organizing the NCC Challenge Quest Competition 2008 on 23 October 2008 at NCC Campus from 1300 hrs to 1800 hrs. This competition is open to Part A, Part B and Part C cadets from Boys’, Girls’ and Mixed NCC units and from this year onwards, the results will be factored in Best Unit Competition. The objective of the competition is to foster the competitive spirit and improve the physical endurance of NCC cadets. The theme for this year’s event is “Team Excellence” and is conducted to provide the following: a. To strive for Team Excellence in future endeavors. b. To foster mental and physical endurance c. To facilitate planning and teamwork amongst the participants Cadets Involved : LCP RICHARD CHUA, CPL LIM ZHUO AN, 3SG MURALI, 3SG PHUA YAN KAE Attire : NO. 4 Uniform with beret Items to bring : Water bottles.

ENERGY CONSERVATION (PUB) COURSE

The NCC Elective programme consists of the Energy Conservation [PUB] Course, Civil Defence and SANA courses. They serve as an avenue to build an all-rounded civic consciousness in our Part A cadets. Only TWO cadets will be selected for the course. Upon completion, cadets will be awarded the Energy Conservation badge.
